30 May 2019, Mokolo, Cameroon: Luka Isaac serves as president of the central committee of the Nigerian refugees at Minawao. In this role, he undertakes the task of coordination of the refugees, as well as identifying and relaying the needs of the refugees to the partners engaged in service around the camp. 34-year-old Isaac arrived in the camp in 2014, from Gwoza, Nigeria, fleeing from the threat of Boko Haram. The Minawao camp for Nigerian refugees, located in the Far North region of Cameroon, hosts some 58,000 refugees from North East Nigeria. The refugees are supported by the Lutheran World Federation, together with a range of partners.
