30 May 2019, Mokolo, Cameroon: 80-year-old Kyelu Yakubu from Chi Gashia, Nigeria, fetches water at one of the distribution ramps for drinking water in Minawao. Yakubu suffers from a skin disease, and as access to quality healthcare is a challenge for the refugees, she has not been able to obtain effective medicine, despite a visit to the nearest hospital. The Minawao camp for Nigerian refugees, located in the Far North region of Cameroon, hosts some 58,000 refugees from North East Nigeria. The refugees are supported by the Lutheran World Federation, together with a range of partners.
