3 June 2019, Djohong, Cameroon: Amadou Adamou, a thirty-year-old refugee from Bocaranga in CAR runs a shop in the Borgop camp, where he sells rice, flour, biscuits, soap and sugar. With support from the Lutheran World Federation, he has managed to move away from taking credit from other merchants, into becoming an independent storeowner.
The Borgop refugee camp is located in the municipality of Djohong, in the Mbere subdivision of the Adamaoua regional state in Cameroon. Supported by the Lutheran World Federation since 2015, the camp currently holds 12,300 refugees from the Central African Republic.
